Court Ordered Services
DUI SERVICES
Red Rock Family Services offers DUI screening, Level II DUI Education and Level I DUI Treatment groups for individuals who have been convicted of a DUI and have been ordered by the court to participate in an approved screening, education, and/or treatment program.
DUI Screening is an interview and assessment of an individual to determine whether education or treatment is required and a referral made to a DUI education or treatment agency.
Level II DUI Education is a 16-hour program specifically tailored for those individuals that have been arrested for a DUI offense. The groups are designed to educate clients about drinking and driving and problem drinking. Clients will complete a pre-test when entering treatment, and a post-test upon completion, as well as an exit interview. Clients who complete Level II will receive a Certificate of Completion. Formal documentation will be sent to the referral source. Clients who may clinically benefit by further therapy will be referred appropriately.
Level I DUI Treatment: A client who has completed an alcohol screening/substance abuse assessment, and is deemed to be a problem drinker or drug user shall be referred to a Level I outpatient program.

This is an outpatient treatment program that includes a minimum of 36 hours of treatment and education. Participants may choose to attend the Level II, 16-hour DUI class plus a minimum of 20 hours of group therapy in 2-hour sessions. The focus of the group sessions will be recognition of SA/CD problems and on relapse prevention.

Anger Management

This is a 10-36 session anger management program for adults and adolescents. The focus of this program is on recognizing the sources of anger, how to avoid or reinterpret events that trigger anger, how to better deal with feelings of anger, and ways to rationally think about life events.

Misdemeanor Domestic Violence
Intervention Program

Red Rock Family Services provides a domestic violence intervention program for misdemeanor and felony domestic violence offenders.

-
The domestic violence treatment program is delivered in 90-minute group sessions that meet weekly. The maximum number of clients in a group is 15.
-
Programs utilize group counseling to identify process and disengage violent, abusive attitudes, and behaviors. Clients are taught successful conflict resolution skills as well as positive parenting and relationship skills.
-
The program emphasizes that each client is responsible for their own actions. Clients who attempt to evade responsibility, deny any problem, or continually blame others for their actions will be assessed as a failure to participate constructively in treatment. Clients who do not accept responsibility for their behavior will not receive credit for completing the program.
-
The program will introduce and review violence as an inappropriate tactic that represents abuse and that violence is not a loss of control over anger but a forceful control of another person.
-
Victim participation is not included in the offender group sessions. However, victim safety is a major concern. Therefore, as the need arises victims may be given a safety plan and referred to agencies providing victim services.
-
The treatment program is scheduled to be completed in not less than six months, and not more than 12 months from admission.
-
Red Rock Family Services may extend the time for completion under certain circumstances including: If the client is incarcerated, illness of the client or a significant family member, death of an immediate family member, or the court dictates that the client must complete more sessions.
-
Red Rock Family Services provides programs for 1st (26-sessions), 2nd (36-sessions), and third or more offenses (52-sessions).
-
The duration of the sessions are not less than 45 minutes or longer than 90 minutes for individual sessions, and not less than 90 minutes or longer than 180 minutes for group sessions.
